You will find during your search of phones that your cellular phone company will offer you many services.  Your choice of phones and technology determine the price of your phone and plan flexibility. 

It is possible to opt out of certain services if needed.  You can contact your cellular phone company to block certain users the ability to access services.  This is good when you are giving out company phones or phones to children. Some of the services that you can opt out is the internet, downloading services, text messaging services, long distance services, local distance services, and camera usage.

It would be best to explain all of these services.  First, most new cellular phones allow the user to log on to the Internet and download items onto their phone.  The Internet and the downloading process are charged to your bill.  You can download wallpaper and ring tones for a phone from the Internet.  One catch that many people don't know is that free cellular phone ring tones or free cellular phone wallpapers are not downloaded for free.  Your cellular phone company will charge you for using their services to download.  They typically charge you for the packet size involved in the transfer.  This service can be blocked when you contact your cellular phone company.

Another service that is offered to customers is sending and receiving pictures.  For each picture you are usually charged a small fee for the size of the file.  This is only available to those who have a camera cellular phone.  Camera cellular phones are nice to have, but small charges do occur.  It is best to get a cellular phone plan that will allow you to send or receive so many pictures before they start charging you for them.

Like any regular phone plan, you can opt out of certain types of calls, you can have local, long distance, and even international cellular phone coverage.  Depending on the nature of your calls you can decide what would be best for you.
